Ben’s Lighthouse invite you to join The Isle of Skoo, an original interactive music and puppet show where we meet Lighthouse Keeper Skoo Sil and his friends!
The Isle of Skoo is a family friendly show with music, movement, and puppetry for children ages 2-10 with an adult caregiver.
This free performance is sponsored by Ben’s Lighthouse, the Friends of the C.H. Booth Library and Edmond Town Hall.
The Isle of Skoo presents themes of caring, sharing, and listening well, all in service of finding the light inside us all and helping others by becoming “lighthouse keepers”. We talk and sing about making friends, being inclusive and honest, and making mistakes and solving problems. With original music, dancing, and plenty of audience participation, children love The Isle of Skoo! Skoo’s puppets were designed by Newtown’s own David Wheeler and constructed by Heather Asch, a professional puppeteer, puppet maker and producer who has worked with The Jim Henson Company, Children’s Television Workshop, Sesame Workshop, Nickelodeon, and Disney, among others.
The cast includes professional local performers, all from the greater Newtown and surrounding area, who bring their talents to Francine Wheeler’s original writing, music, and art in The Isle of Skoo to teach and share compassion and empathy to our community and children everywhere.
Video Release: Please note that video will be taken throughout the show. The video will be used by Ben’s Lighthouse for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website, and in social media.
